PikaShow Troubleshooting & Error Resolution Desk

Encountering an issue while installing or streaming on PikaShow? Follow these proven step-by-step diagnostic checklists to resolve Android runtime exceptions, signature conflicts, and ISP stream buffering stalls.

1. Fixing "Problem Parsing the Package" (Android Parse Error)

Underlying Cause: The APK file download was cut short by mobile cellular data drops, or your handset runs an unsupported operating system below Android 5.0 (Lollipop).

  1. Verify your device is running Android 5.0 or newer in Settings > About Phone.
  2. Delete all incomplete or duplicate APK files from your device's Downloads directory.
  3. Clear your mobile browser's cache in Settings > Apps > Chrome > Storage > Clear Cache and re-download a fresh v94 package.

2. Fixing "App Not Installed" (Signature Certificate Conflict)

Underlying Cause: Android prevents updates if an older build signed with a different cryptographic key is already on your handset, or if flash storage is full during DEX compilation.

  1. Completely uninstall any existing PikaShow build currently on your device.
  2. Restart your device to purge temporary Dalvik and ART runtime cache allocations.
  3. Ensure at least 200 MB of internal storage is free, then run the clean v94 installer.

3. Fixing "Source Down" & Stream Buffering (ISP DNS Filtering)

Underlying Cause: Domestic broadband and cellular carriers (JioFiber, Airtel Xstream, Vi) often block unencrypted media streaming queries on known edge endpoints.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Private DNS on your device.
  2. Select Private DNS provider hostname and enter:
  3. Clear application cache in Settings > Apps > PikaShow > Storage > Clear Cache and relaunch the stream.

4. Fixing App Force-Close or Immediate Crashes

Underlying Cause: Outdated system rendering components or aggressive vendor battery managers (Xiaomi HyperOS/MIUI, Oppo ColorOS, Vivo Funtouch).

  1. Update Android System WebView and Google Play Services via the Google Play Store.
  2. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization, find PikaShow, and set it to Don't Optimize (or No Restrictions).
  3. Restart your phone to re-initialize the native ExoPlayer decoding pipeline.
